Sometimes you hear about a trend that just makes you what the HECK were they thinking? I mean could this really be a valuable method to attain these goals? Then as you read more about it and realize this could just be people just trying to obtain their goal with no holds bar. The trend I am referring to is the use of Preparation H in clubs !!! Prepareation H is a cream that is intended purpose is to shrink the swollen tissues of hemorrhoids. This entire trend was brought into my view by my friend who linked me to this ABC article covering this new phenomenon, and its quiet shocking due to it how it works:
Preparation H contains a medication called phenylephrine HCL that — when used for the drug’s intended purpose — will shrink the swollen tissues of hemorrhoids. It works by constricting the nearby blood vessels that feed blood and fluid to the area.
Not only does this possess health risky but it may make a person just look weird by shrinking them!! Not only are the long term risks unknown, but the manufacture is not taking any responsibility due to this type of application of the product:
“Applying it to one’s chest is an off-label use of Preparation H,” said Milicent Brooks, a representative of Wyeth Consumer Healthcare. “We don’t approve or endorse any off-label uses.”
Just reading this article makes me wonder to what length we as a society will go to achieve results and our own selfish goals (which in this case has to do with getting an attractive women’s attention at all costs). Then it dawned upon me that sometimes we need instances like this to make use realize how stupid and vain people can be!! Any comments or responses? All are welcome
